Being top in search engines like Google is a dream to every blog and website owners out there. Although there are ways which can make one to rank higher in search engines, there is a simple way to achieve this without paying thousands on money to developers to do the work for you.

The following are steps on how to rank high on google search engine.

1.Visit blogger.com website

Since you have created your blogger account, you will need to visit the dashboard and scroll down to settings, scroll town to search description and set it on.


2. Add search description

You will have to add search description text. This will enable the end user to understand the purpose of your blog in order to attract them. Search engines always will look for search description in order to tag it along with your blog.


3. Scroll down to crawlers and indexing

While on the same page on settings, you will be required to enable custom robot texts. Once enabled you will see a blank text and you will copy the below code:

User-agent: *

Disallow: /search

Allow: /


Sitemap: https://janjablog.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml

Make sure you change janjablog.blog.com to your blog url address and save.


4. Enable custom robots header tags

Follow instructions from below screenshot to enable each and every element on header tags.

5.  Activate google search console

Now open google search console and you will be redirected to a page where you will add your blogger url address. Use the URL Prefix option. Search console will automatically verify your blogger url and redirect you to search console dashboard.


6. Add new sitemap.

On the left side of your dashboard, scroll to sitemap and add your new sitemap url. It should look like this:

https://www.janjablog.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml

Make sure you correctly add your sitemap xml. Click save and Search console will verify your sitemap and index all the pages from your blog.


7. Ping your blog.

The last point is to make sure you constantly ping your blog everytime you publish a new post in order to notify Google bots that you have updated your blog. Visit Pingomatic.com and  input your blog name, url and select all option available then ping.
